Description
This course teaches administrators of the Author-it library the basics of working with the Author-it Administrator module, and teaches administrators, managers, and content developers the basics of working with Author-it.
Learning Outcomes
- Describe and understand the Author-it object and template model.
- Create books using the Author-it objects (topics, images/file objects, hyperlinks, glossaries, and indexes).
- Understand Author-it’s re-use capabilities and apply them in practice.
- Understand Author-it’s publishing process and single-sourcing.
- Understand Author-it Cloud and how it differs from the on-premises version.
- Understand Author-it’s administration functions (including security and library maintenance).
Format
- 3 days onsite, or
- 6 x 3.5 hours sessions online
Pre-requisites
No prior knowledge of Author-it is necessary. However, you should be familiar with basic Windows functionality (opening applications, moving and minimising windows, and so on). Knowledge of Microsoft Word is helpful, but not required.
