Segue Consulting provides professional technical communication, Author-it consulting, and online communication services.

We specialise in:

Segue Consulting is the business name for Hamish Blunck. Based in Brisbane, Australia, we provide services around the globe.

Technical Communication

We have over twelve years’ technical communication experience across the telecommunications, finance, banking, mining, infrastructure, and transport industries.

Our technical communication experience includes developing online help systems, web sites, user guides, technical reference guides, white papers, case studies, proposals, and process documentation.

We also develop and deliver end-user training for complex information systems (for example, customer management, billing, and business intelligence). Clients include tier one telecommunication companies both in Australia and Europe.

Author-it Consulting

Hamish Blunck (owner of Segue Consulting) is one of only two Author-it certified consultants in Australia, and acts as an advisor for clients both locally in Australia and internationally.

We specialise in all aspects of the Author-it content development lifecycle, including:

• Importing legacy content into Author-it
• Customising output for Word, help, HTML, and Author-it’s WebHelp – pushing beyond Author-it’s out-of-the-box look and feel
• Advising on all aspects of Author-it configuration and best practices (including security and workflow)
• Integrating Author-it with other processes and systems by providing the right processes and automation (including Author-it SDK development).

Web and Online Communication

We develop bespoke websites and also deploy off-the-shelf content management systems (for example, Joomla).

With our strong written communication and information architecture experience we can advise on the complete website development lifecycle; from choosing the right technology to making sure your content is coherent and accessible (and all the important decisions in between).
